Now because I'm the only person who cares about how PvE monsters and enemies work after updates, should I be worried about Joko's Domain now even more and/or vanquishing Nightfall?

We've been taking a look at monster bars for the past two weeks or so I think, so any major skill issues should be dealt with.

'Is this really happening!?' - my reaction

Looks good, almost like adding new class to the game. I'm looking forward to see even more changes and of course live update.

Hope this time dervish will be more viable in PvP and shake the meta a little bit.

Use Aura Slicer to inflict Cracked Armor and Bleeding to your target and follow up the damage with an initial hit from Heart of Holy Flame. Get a few hits in on your foe with holy damage on their lowered armor, then strip it off with Pious Fury. When you strip off Heart of Holy Flame, your foes will be set on fire. For even more damage, wait until it almost runs out before using Reap Impurities.
Is it just me or are they missing the fact that holy dmg ignores armor, thus getting hits in while foe has cracked armor is irrelavent.

edit: I think it is just me

Melee holy damage isn't armor ignoring.

Holy damage in weapon-attack form is armour-permitting. Holy damage skills, on the other hand, ignore armour.

I hope they take into account what the update will mean for FA/JQ. (Fa mostly.) Its fairly clear neither place was taken into consideration when the mesmer update was released. We don't need dervish garbage akin to mindless wd/ww mesmers running around.

As a player who plays the casters more than melee, this update has me worried about dervishes in general and not just those with Vow Of Silence. O_o Will definitely have to have a better meat shield in the group.

I'm wondering what they have done with the scythe, im figuring upped the minimum dmg or even attack speed.

The new Avatar of Balthazar would work wonders with a 3 paragon hero team.

Increased adrenaline would fuel 'Save Yourselves' easily and you're still less squishy because of the increased armor and the burning will help when bringing 'They're on Fire!' on a para hero.

How did this thread get to thirty-two posts without someone pointing out that the game now has an interrupt with a casting time of zero?

Enjoy getting your Infuse interrupted.

Wouldn't be all that effective on a para with only a 10 second duration.

Fast casting made reg interrupts as good as insta cast anyways.

This won't affect GW whatsoever, and adrenaline for dervish: yay is all i can say.

Uh, we have 3 para heroes? I meant now I'd be able to play my dervish character and it's a nice sort of bar compression to cause burning and fuel adrenaline compared to warriors and not have to bring stuff like burning refrain. Why would I put AoB on a paragon? LOL

I guess I'm just staring at the synergy options which I wonder if the devs have looked at. AoB + Heart of Holy flame + any spammable dervish enchant = constant burning which is pretty useful for a whole lot of other class skills you can bring on heroes, like Searing Flames, They're on Fire, Steam, Earthern Shackles, etc...

Wow, gonna take some time to read up on all new changes.
Interesting with an update that will basically break every current D/Any or Any/D build in the game lol. Not saying it's a bad thing of course, but they might just soon mass-move every Dervish builds on gwpvx.com to the historical archives And all your Dervish templates, you might as well soon move them into a historical folder as well.

The good thing it will stir new life in an old game, people who might have gotten tired of the game will suddenly find something new and different, basically a new profession.

Hm, and what will the lore seekers in Druid's Overlook come up with for such a massive change? A major cataclysm among the gods resulting in a major power leak forever altering every Dervish in the game?

Methinks it will be a good idea to stock up on dervish tomes and scythe mods before the big rush.

Furious scythe mods will probably see the largest spike in value while +20% enchant might just be slightly less important now.
